When we grow up, we're all asked, and eventually expected to have a plan for our life. "What do you want to do/ become when you are grown-up?" is a fairly common question. But what we all find out when we do grow up, is that our life never will go according to our plan. So maybe, the best thing to do to prepare for our life, isn't to make plans at all, but just to plan to be surprised??
Also, when you choose to give your life to Christ, and to let him be in charge of your life - then you are definitely heading for a surprise! God never called anyone to a boring, safe, "happy-all-the-time" life. He called us to go out to the world and make the world his sons and daugthers! He said that if we throd on snakes, or drank poison, it wouldn't hurt us. That if we laid our hands on the sick, then they would be healed. Does this sound boring and safe to you? Does it sound anything like what you planned, hoped and dreamed for when you were a kid?
The last half year, I have discovered more than anytime before, that God has really called me to an adventure. I'm not quite sure how it will be yet, I'm still at the beginning - but I do know that it will be exciting. It is not what I planned and dreamed for when I was a kid, but it is what I'm planning and reaming about today. And that's the thing. When God calls you to do something, he won't force you to do it against your own will. He will simply give you time to start liking it, and dreaming for it yourself. He will give you the passion for the task!

Now, as you might understand, there has been some changes in my life the last months. Life hasn't been all good and happy-all-the-time, but I have experienced that God can take even the crappy moments, and use them to the good. Sometimes he turns your life up-side-down, just to get you where he wants you. I have a feeling that that's what He have done to me and my life this spring.
As for now, I won't be returning to school come fall. I have taken one year off, which I never ever imagined myself do. I will be going back, but first I will have one year to do other things. One of the things I will do, is to lead the teenclub in Betel. Scary, yes, easy, no. But I need the challenge, I like it, and I believe I will thrive on it. I hope I will thrive on it. Also, I will be taking a leadership course over some weekends. And of course, a lot of other things, hang out with friends, work some, maybe travel a bit.. The thing is, that all of this, is just the preparation for what is to come for. This is just the hill, not the mountain. And one day I will climb the mountain, you be sure! And when I am standing on the top, I'll make sure I'll wave to you... Hope you're standing on your own top!
